-We are open for new inquiries/intakes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-We do not take new inquiries/intakes on Wednesdays.

We have staff who speak French and Spanish, and we can arrange interpreters for other languages, but please call ahead for service in languages other than English.

If you would like to contact us for legal help, you can call or drop in during our Intake Hours, or send an E-mail. Our Intake Hours for new inquiries are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We do not take new inquiries on Wednesdays. We do not have afterhours emergency services.

You do not need an appointment for Intake, but people do have to wait their turn. If you call, you may have to wait to be called back. If you drop in, you may have to wait to speak with the caseworker on Intake.

Some Intakes may be complex and take hours, while others may be very brief. Depending on your question, the HALCO caseworker on Intake may need to do some research, consult other caseworkers and/or refer you to another caseworker or other service.

Many legal matters have time limits called "limitation periods".

Please contact us as soon as you have a question or problem, so that we can have enough time to try to help you.
